Shooting exercise 1

For this exercise we had to shoot footage and record sound at two different locations and put the two together. We did this is pairs, one of us shot the footage and the other one recorded the sound. We stared at the union building and walked in opposite directions for 15 minutes. I ended up walking to a busy construction site and a car park. Even though they were next to each other one was really busy and noisy and the other one was really quiet which. This made me realise that even though the sound and footage was shoot separately at different places it could be put together and still make sense to the viewer. I would compare our work to that of Joe King and Rosie Pedlow and their work called Strange Lights. I think our work is similar because even though the footage and the audio are two completely separate. They link up work well together and the viewer can take in both the audio and visuals and understand what is going on. One piece of work that contrasts our work is The Clearing...
